I have run a lot of T2000 tournaments that start the blinds at $25 $25 and then go up to 25 50 etc. Those tournaments lasted 1.5 hours to 3.5 depending on how aggressive I raised the blinds, how many players, re-buys and just circumstances. Starting chips are 8 - 25, 8 - 100 and 2 -500 - OR 12 - 25, 12 - 100 and 1 - 500. If you have enough chips you can always do 20 - 25 and 15 - 100, but I find that is a pain, especially when I have more than one table and have to move players to balance tables.
