I am partial to SHOE - Stud, Hold'em, Omaha Hi/Lo and Stud Hi/Lo Eight or better

I have run a few SHOE tournaments and they are a lot of fun. If you have only one table the easiest way to run it is - One round per limit level and game - mine have lasted 2.5 hours or less. Almost everyone is still in for the first 1.5 hours or more, but the limits rising will change that quickly enough.

You can always come up with your own mixed game tournament with the games you and your friends play.

Some friends of mine used to run a PLO NLHE rotation game. ROtate the game every 1/2 hour. SInce both are blinds games it is fairly simple.
