| how many and at what denom?
I am going to buy a new set of chips very soon, might i add that this forum has been a godsend, and i need help with breakdown.
I am going to buy some nexgens and add my own custom lable.
Here is what i need help with. I was thinking about buying 800 of them and i want to be able to host around a 15person tourney. Possibly up to 20ppl. Since im making my own denoms i want to know how much of each chips i should buy and what denominations i should make.
I was thinking about makeing $25 my lowest denom chip then $100 and from there im not too sure. I like to start ppl off with big stacks maybe T2,000 up to T5,000 and then do maybe one or two colourups throughout the tourney. I'm thinking that a T5000 would be difficult with the $25 chips, maybe just a T2000. Also i prolly would need 1000chips to hold a 20person tourney but the average will be between 10 and 15 anyway.
I was also looking at keeping it simple (KISS) for coulours of chips in play. I didnt really want to give ppl more than 3 diff couloured chips at a time/beginning.
what do you think about haveing a $25, 100, 500, and 1000 chip denomination set? thatway at the end the 500s and 1000s will be in play and maybe a few 100s but deffinately no 25s?
should i go with the 50s instead of the 25s?
how many of each should i make and how many would each person start off with? I heard anywhere between 100 and 200BB. so if 1st stage blinds were 25/25 then 2500-5000 would be good? Im looking for a more relaxed game where ppl will feel they got more play for their buck.
