I have run a lot of tournaments. I like both re-buys and no re-buys.

What I find - is the lower buy-in tournaments 15 to 25 - I get more participation and more money in the pot by adding a re-buy and/or add-on. If I do a $40 buy-in no re-buys or add-ons the turn out seems to be less.

I like both. For a serious tournament with a larger buy-in - I prefer no re-buys or add-ons, just play till your out.
