If you were going to get a set of chips made with a custom
inlay (please disregard price), which clay chip would you choose?
I got some sample sets (some haven't come in yet) and I have my opinions but was wondering what everyone else thought the advantages/disadvantages of each chip is.
My opinions:
Paulson- I know that you can't get one made totally custom but it is what I judge all the others from because I just love the texture, sound and weight of them.
ASM-
Texture- HH mold is great. Roman mold ok. Circle/square too slick.
Sound- Not bad. Different from the Paulson's but still good.
Weight- Too light.
Edgespots- Good. Just wish there were more options.
Rolling edge- Brassy flakes and smooth. Not sure if I like this yet or not.
Inlay- I don't have a micrometer or anything like that but it seems that it is recessed. Correct me here if I am wrong.
Custom
inlays- I didn't get one on any of my samples so I don't really have an opinion on this but if someone could reply with their opinion.
On a side note, the roman's and circle/square's I received had a line/stripe going through the
inlay. Not sure what that is from.
Blue chip- Haven't received my sample yet
TRKing- Haven't received my sample yet
What are your opinions?
