Well, what if you play a T1000 tourney your blinds might look like this
5/10
10/20
15/30
20/40
25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200
150/300
etc, etc, etc.....
Then you can keep the 5's in 4 levels, or really slow it down and add in a 30/60, 35/70, 40/80 then you could use them even longer.
Just some added thoughts here worth close to 2 bits....
