i am up to about $275 from my instant bankroll i started two weeks ago. I almost exclusively play $25 NL 6 MAX tables.
The key is to find a table where most of the stacks are at or below $20, and the average pot is $2 or less. Then you can sit down an play hyper aggressive poker as long as you watch out for the "Rocks" who will reraise with the nuts.
You must play position and watch closely for the other players to give away their betting patterns. I have bluffed countless pots on the river with nothing by reading a pattern of bluffing from another player. Sometimes they use the insta-raise button, sometimes they will bet on the flop but then check if you call on the turn. Sometimes they make post-oak bluffs with very small amounts into decent pots. IF you watch close enough and note tendencies it is very profitable.
also sign up at
www.cardplayer.com for their poker analyst, or set up your own excel file. you can take notes and track your bankroll and learn things about yourself very quickly. I have learned that I play sh*tty poker after midnight if I start by losing a couple of hands. I tend to rush once i get down a little bit late, and try to force my stack back up. Most of my profits are made early in the evening when I am relaxed and not in a hurry.
