Future Group buys for Paulsons

I'm reativley new to the chip world and have a few questions. Does Paulson release a new version of the JBs every year? If so is there a group by each time before they are released or no. If not is there a way someone could organize a large group buy for Paulson chips for example to get them at a discounted price?

No, they haven't even made the chip for several years.
This year marks a return to the home market for them.
They are discounted by so many sellers now that I doubt a group buy would be popular enough. Just keep hunting for bargains.

The only thing wrong with them ( jb ) is that the background is so dark and dingy doesn't do the chip justice---IMHO!

I don't understand. The background is white on the JBs.

I think there is some confusion here.

The pics Kalimba posted are of the "trademarks" or "Classics", not the JB's. I think that the "dark and Dingy part that Deejay was refering to is the green eagle/crest/laurel thingy design on the JB graphics. It is very busy and the black denomination printed directly over the green art makes it hard to make out, and over all less appealing.

Many people have said they don't really care for the JB inlay design, but I don't really mind it. I hate the Trademark inlays, and am surprised that Paulson would want their name attached to such a monstrosity! But the Pharoah's are certainly the best graphics to be put on a Paulson home chip since the Le Coves IMHO.

Anyway, apart from that little tangent, I hope this clears things up.

Oh yeah back to the original point of this thread, I wouldn't expect to see a group buy on Paulson's again for a very loing time. I think the minimum order has been changed from 100,000 to 250,000 chips, so it will be difficult to organize another one. It will be especially difficult if Paulson continuies its refusal to budge on the mold.

I really don't have a problem with the new mold. I do, however, like the old style with the TH&canes all around the outer edge much better, but I like these chips (Pharaoh's) just fine. If I could change anything about them (and I can't because Paulson has put their foot down), I would bring the th&canes around the outer edge back, and would move to a grand inlay (the size of my Caesar's Palace chip on the left). I personally think Paulson has made a bad decision by making it so difficult to order home chips. The home chip market may not be their biggest money maker, but they still make money from it.
