help designing a 2-sided chip label

I just got a set of NEXGEN 8000's and I am going to label them. If anyone out there can help me with the design, it would be much appreciated.

SIDE 1: tiger hawk logo - I want this to be as large as possible in the middle of the chip, but without the yellow background. I would like the background to match the color of the chip. I also want the denomination to be in a smaller font and rounded at the bottom of the label.

I included this next pic because I want the tiger hawk to have a texture similar to the texture on the maple leaf. I also really like the font for the denomination.

SIDE 2: I would love to use this picture of the Old Capital in Iowa City, with the denomination centered on the bottom (like on side 1). The picture is in black and white, but I want to use the colors in the NEXGEN chips.

Any help out there? It would be very much appreciated. I'm a stooge when it comes to computer design.

The building image is very tough to work with as it is so small and loses resolution as you enlarge it...

Nice looking design Lynbark!

Himewad...you had a great idea about shading the building to match the chip. I originally thought you were going to make the building the same color as the chip, like a sepia effect, Ihope I am getting my idea across here. Either way it looks great!!

Well, the tiger hawk is different from what I was hoping for, but it's not altogether bad, either. I would really like to see something that resembles the maple leaf, but I'm not sure if that's possible.

As for the building ... maybe I can find a larger picture. I would really like the darker colors in the building picture to be the color of the chip. Maybe I can find a picture of Kinnick Stadium instead.

How about a texture like this...

I was just playing about for a minute with the low res gif you had up here. If you sent me a high res image of it, I'm sure I could get it closer to what you wanted.

That texture is getting better, Cubsfan. I tried to send you a PM with a different tiger hawk file. Hopefully, you'll get it.

Here is another pic of the old capital building. Is this any better in terms of putting it on a chip?
