All that does is lead to custom chips that are made for the purpose of selling a sh*tload for profit instead of taking in the opinions of everyone involved to make a chip they all like. I know that "x's business wouldn't be like that!" but all businesses are like that... it always happens.

From the way the question was worded, I would assume that the only purpose of the "company" is to be able to distribute chips at whole sale prices. In other words, no one would be making a profit off of this (like the current group buys), but people might be able to get the chips for as much as $.20 less a chip.
