I just love it when pocket aces actually end up winning a hand

So often they end up getting beat by strange cards.
Last night in one of our games (NLHE, $5 tournament buy-in), I was heads up with my friend. He started out with about 3x the chips I had, a few hands later I had about 3x what he had

He wasn't exactly short-stacked, but he decided to push and go all-in preflop, after my reraise of T5000 (I think blinds were only 200/400 or 300/600 at that point, T40000 total chip count on the table). Turned out he had pocket tens, and I had the aces. Nothing exciting on the board, and I ended up winning that game. Fun stuff.
After that, it was getting late, but we still had a few beer left each. So we ordered some pizza, and started a small cash game with the change we had left in our pockets. Maybe $3 each. I had been pushing to try that every now and then for a while, and we had fun. Would be great to play while we're waiting for everybody to show up for a game, or to play for a while after a game when it's late.
On another note, I think my friends are getting hooked on clay chips! I brought along my samples, they loved the Paulsons I had. They were impressed with the faux clays and Sopranos, too. So much better than dice chips, which is what we use - that is, until my 400 ASMs get here
