Now all kidding aside.....
I think you should make it so that the curtain is dark. There should be somekind of a spotlight shining down on the candlestick, rose, and mask...just like it would be during the play....the entire stage is dark and all you can see is the phantom during his emotional monlogue!!!
Now that would be a cool chip. You could still make the curtain color match the chip color it would just be muted more. Then you could move the denom to the upper corner where it would be darker. Then the denom color could match the chip color and be accented by the blackness of the curtain!!??!!
