So my wife, while supportive of my interest in chips, is less than thrilled about me always having my wooden chip case sitting open on the coffee table. Hey, I like to look at them and fiddle with them while watching TV... call me crazy.
So when I saw this item on eBay recently, I figured I could restore some domestic bliss to my hubble home, while at the same time still being able to display a few of my favorite chips in a convenient way. At least one that takes up a bit less real estate on the coffee table.
I had wondered about one of the traditional round style chip racks, but most seem so big and.... well... round. I have also seen rectangular ones, with this same open rack design, but again they were all pretty big. This one seemed small, but still useful. I had not previously seen this exact design.
Unless this thing arrives and seems to be a real antique, I'm probably going to give it a light sanding and a light coat of oil to clean it up a bit. And then replace the supposedly 'wooden' chips that are in it with some of my own. So there you go..... Anyone else have chip display needs that you've met in an interesting way? Just curious.
Regards,
Allan B.
