No way they can show it live -- it's so f*ing boring! I went to the last WSOP circuit event in New Orleans 2 weeks ago. Even with the final table, there's about 9 hours of play they edit down for TV. With hundreds of tables, it would be impossible to show live.
Now recaps... that might be good. But I don't think they have enough cameras to cover all the good players until they get down to a small number of tables.
Maybe one of these years they'll have the stones to broadcast the final table live. Nah, that would kill their multi-part series to milk all the commercials they can sell.
