While it is a great theme, in practical use, won't it be annoying trying to count down/separate pots and quickly get an idea of an opponents stack etc?? That is the very reason casino chips have bright and contrasting colors.
my 2 cents.
You are right to an extent. Casinos don’t typically reuse any color for chips whether its spots or base color for the reason that it makes it easier for the dealer to quickly identify chips. Or to put it simply, it’s a security issue. Casinos have taken an idea to the farthest end of the spectrum to insure simplicity. That doesn’t mean IMHO that in using some of the same colors that the chips are going to now be camouflaged while in a pile. The base color is completely different in each chip and still in a very standard progression i.e. red to green to black etc.. So there really shouldn’t be any issue in my mind. Of course everyone has there own opinion, lucky for me I get to decide what’s good and what’s not in this case.
