Re: Blue Chip Flame / Shell Mold . . . Comparison

The Flame or Shell mold that you see in the Fan of Cards and other chips from Blue chip are sold to the public. The chip with the Sun mold like the one that you displayed from the Four Queens is only made for casinos. Those chips probably have a lower cost than similar chips from Paulson since they are being adopted for low value chips (like $1) at both Vegas and Reno casinos, though I guess the tradeoff would be that they also do not have the options for security that the GPI chips would have. The chips that are sold to the public are usually also quite a bit lighter, though they are undeniably a 'clay' chip the minute you pick one up. You can tell by the texture of the edge and the sharpness of the corners.
