Nothing personal, it's just my strong opionion that oval hold 'em tables are worthless unless you have a designated dealer. Everyone who has ever played on one knows exactly what I'm talking about. They were designed by casinos because hold 'em is a poker game that can be played by many more people than other games with just one deck - they went oval so the dealer could reach everyones checks, they save a little square footage on the casino floor, and seat 10 players(for bigger profits).
For home tables ovals are anti-social, impossible to deal from the ends slowing the game down, make it hard to read/talk to other players,.... I could go on.... the only real positive of them is that you can seat 10 players, other than that a 60" round table is far superior in all other aspects for your typical home game. But you never see anyone build them because that's not what they use on tv. Build one and you'll never go back, I guarantee it.
Sincerely, nothin' personal. I just dislike oval tables.
