All In Chips - Played with them and...

They are great.

One of my poker buddies just got a huge set (+500) of All Ins and all I can say about them is: dont believe the hype. I hear everywhere they are not great and that they break easily (but who will try to do it with YOUR set?).

He has been using them for more than 6 months and they look great.

How they are:
- yes you can break them easily with your barehands but again: you should spank one who tries this with YOUR chip set
- All the design is crisp clear on the chip faces (lets say for 90% of them)
- On the side the small dots are not that crisp but fine enough
- There is a little ridge (chip freaks will notice) on the side of the chip (are they compressed or what?)
- On the internal recessed circle there is most of the time a blob of material that really looks like an injection mark (they dont unplease me but it´s there and any chip freak will notice it)
- I never liked its colors combinations but I ended up enjoying it by the end of the day
- No edge spot and that´s it
- No denoms
- Dont even think about sticking a label on those

Observations about the chips (with a decent weekly use):
- they get dirty from each other (but a finger can easily wipe this out)
- the whites are becoming eggshell yellow (an extremely lightly yellow tinted white)
- there are marks of nail presses, chips from fall falls and such like
- some corners of the chips got a little clearer due to use

In the end they are much better then from what I heard people saying. I am not sure about their price but it looks the perfect match for those who are looking for better quality and casino feel than Composites but are not willing to go with the +1.00 chips (or cheaper group buys).

Poker Chip Company´s clays - the best I have handled for regular games - are different. I appreciate the texturized feel of them but the rubbery thing on the All Ins is great.

I would recommend them any day for those who can wait and also for those who are not looking to afford zillions in chips.

By the way this is not a review just some notes I came up with from pratical experience.
