We're all used to playing $20 ring(cash) games with .25/.50 blinds
yep... it's perfect. I play the exact same thing except i dont do the 25/25 blinds, i just jump straight to 25/50. I also allow only one rebuy anytime, not limited to the level. I did it this way so it's not forcing someone to try to go all-in before a certain level. It also doesnt pressure people to add-on.
The way i've had my last few tournaments is like this... $40 buyin, $30 into main pot, $5 into bounty hunting game(take a player out of the tournament and get $5), and $5 in the high hand(or highhand/bad beat) pot. One rebuy costs $20, and get's the same amount of chips as the intitial buyin. I played 2500 and 3000 starting chips. They are basically the same thing.
