yesterday i played my new favorite game, .01/.02 poker stars NLHE. i've played about 1000 hands, and have netted a cool minus $1.
but yesterday, oh yesterday, i ran into the ultimate donator. he went all in 80% of the time preflop. people were taking shots at him with any pair, and just about any A. about 15 minutes into this, he still hadn't doubled up, and would continue to immediately rebuy for the full $5.
at this point, if asked, he would say what he had. i had the benefit of being on his right. if no one else chose to call him, then, i had last option. if i had something, i'd make a raise to .20 or so, to let others know i was strong. if i was pretty weak but willing to call all-in, i'd just limp and see what everyone else did to the all-in maniac.
so here's the question; how many times in your life will you call all-in, preflop, in a cash game, with

i'm proud to say i did, and doubled up.
i'm in the big blind. he pushes, and it folds around. i wait a few seconds, and he announces he's got 53. i hadn't seen him lie about a hand, and had announced accurately 10 times.
i call in a shot, and double through.
