American Poker Championship chips

Does anyone have a good picture of the chips used in the APC? Or the WPT? I seem to remember them being plain, no edge-spot chips in bright colors. I'm considering putting together an ASM order with similar colors/denominations. Any help researching this would be great.
Also do people think these plain stacks in bright colors look good, or just fruity?

there was an auction that shouldve ended recently on ebay that had a very similar set, and was hotstamped 'FUN NITE' on them.

i think they look GREAT while stacked and I am working on getting a set together myself. i think my tourney chips will be edge spotted, but for cash games i will use solid colors. i like they way they look while stacked.

im pretty sure the APC chips were paulson, not quite sure which WPT ones you are referring too, there are quite a few episodes now.

This has been on every night on ESPN 2. They also show a lot of a close-ups of the chips..

The colors I remember are black, red, and purple.

Chip rant

And now for a brief rant, directly related to chips...

Wouldn't it make sense for all of these poker shows (WPT, ESPN tourneys, etc.) to show at least one close up the chips so the viewer can see the value of each chip by its color? This way, the viewer can relate color to denomination (and we can also see the designs).

ESPN has the bad habit of not showing blind and ante amounts, not tracking pot sizes, and not showing the amount of each bet. On the Taj tournament, for example, I had to guess at the betting when not announced because ESPN gives no info, I don't know the value of each chip by color, and some of the colors were similar (orange vs. pink vs. red). To the credit of the WPT shows, I can figure out the chip values by color because they closely track pot size and bet amounts.

Texas Hold 'em is all about bettting. The hole cards are arguably less than half of the strategy in hold 'em. Betting is the name of the game. They've perfect the broadcast with hole-cams for the players' cards -- why leave such a huge void for chip amounts and the value of blinds/antes/bets?!

speak, i agree. its very hard, especially on the APC broadcast to tell which stage of the tournament they are at. sometimes they refer to the chips as a monetary value, sometimes they specifically say the amount is in chips. the very early shows of the APC are at very low blind levels, but the only way you can tell is by the announcers telling you raises were in 1-200 chip amounts.
