| You really can't go wrong with either choice, but definately buy samples because I am sure you will have a preference. I believe that most people prefer clay to ceramic, but there are also those who prefer ceramic to clay.
I love clay chips and would never buy anything but clay. It is kind of like plastic cards to me, I can't use cardboard ever again now!!
Just spend the extra 10-20 dollars and get samples and take your time. Also sample chips other than Paulson!! TR King manufactures a VERY nice chip in my opionion, so does ASM.
If you are asking for what people would choose, I would go with the Pharaoh's Club's...
