I think the thickness is the same. I only have a small stack of TRKs, but in a rack they seem to take up the same amount of space as Paulsons and other clays, as I recall. (I'm traveling without my TR Kings this week, so I can't take exact measurements. But I picked up some new BJs on Tuesday... am I a geek or what!)
That doesn't seem like enough to make a significant difference in weight. Using my rudimentary math skills to calculate the volume of a chip, this would be about 2.5% lighter, or about 9.75 grams instead of 10 grams for a theoretical Paulson.
I don't know how/why they weigh what they weigh, but they feel about the same to me. They sound a little different to me because of the "coating" on the TR Kings -- they seem to have a more shiny, almost varnished look/feel.
what BJ's did you pick up, and how do they measure?
