No ETA yet. I'm pushing them to get them to me before Memorial Day. I approved the final artwork on 3/11/05, so by the end of May is still possible. I'll call them in a week or two to get a status update. I'll let everyone know when my credit card gets charged too.

One thing though - and I'm 99% sure of this - you will pay the FULL artwork fee no matter how much of the work you do yourself. They still need to convert it to their format and part of it is setup fees and the like. | Echo the great service & work at HPC... that aside I'd confirm art/setup as I think trevorwc's right here and it makes a big diff in per chip cost as you could be talking $1.50/chip @ 500, $1.32/chip @ 750 & $1.20/chip @ 1000 to your door (for many US res.) whereas you're looking at just over a $1.00/chip at PC delivered.
I agree that the art can be a deciding factor... looks like you have time so why not do up designs for each and post for comments.
I have only read one neg (other than waits) with PC and I believe it was rectified.
Here are some links to the negs I have for both... PC.com quality issue Follow up response on 2+2
Chicpo wear:
FYI - just so you go in informed some folks (the clay or nothin' crowd) throw out wear concerns... Chipco wear thread 1 Chipco wear thread 2. This thread has a pic of the Palms chip which inspired the card graphic detail in my club... the Ace is pictured but they thave the other paints as well. I always liked those chips. Some more info Also, the nipple/ridge issue
I obviously think in home game use they're perfectly acceptable but only time will tell. Just thought you might want to read some cons before forking out major dough.

I do miss The Link King avatar though. For some reason that avatar cracked me up everytime I saw it.
One thing to note is that if you order 1000 chips from pokerchips.com they will give you a 10% discount if you ask for it. That brings the cost down to 85¢/ea. for black and white art, and 90¢/ea. for full color art. Quote: |

| That's a good idea. Since you have so much time, post your designs for both a clay inlay and a chipco graphic.

I did the Pokerchips.com review on this forum. Pokerchips.com Review
My main reason for purchasing chips from them was that they were clay, a good price and customizable. It is a very personal decision that you have to make. I personally like clay better than ceramic. Make sure you know what you are buying. Get samples!
Good luck and keep us posted on your design and progress. It is fun keeping up with all of the different custom chips being designed.

Thanks for the links.
If HPC has the wear thing I read a lot of people (maybe they just got the samples) saying that they dont see PC chips as such an improvement.
i think I am already decided on the HPC due to response and production time.
Wear on the edges gives character to the chips. And I really appreciate it as long as the chips dont start falling apart...
Yeah the artwork fee seems like it´s gonna get me.
When I get a graphic going for the ceramics I will let all know.
Thanks a lot and regards.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Anyways, I can confirm it, because I'm getting the discount on my order that I placed in January. |

I didn't approve the final artwork until 3/11. I should actually be getting my chips by Memorial Day.
