My first art proof from pokerchips.com

Finally got the first proof today. Natalie got our ideas spot on except for the War chip. That will be changing, everything else we like a lot.

There are some corrections though also, like the colors in "Death" should be blue and not yellow. Also, the back of all chips should read "Incarnations of Immortality" not "Mortality"

Other then that, things will remain mostly the same.

Here it is =)

Chip breakdown is :

400 Purple with Dayglow Green spots
200 Red with Arc Yellow spots
200 Green with Dayglow Pink spots
150 Black with Imperial Blue spots
50 White with Purple spots

I know these aren't casino colors, but my wife loves purple so...that's our main lowest denom chip

The "War" chip was supposed to be modelled after Mars, the God of War. So it should be a Roman type soldier holding a flaming sword instead of an angel.

I like your theme, but I wonder how well the old english font will show up on a small 7/8" insert like they use a pc.com.

I think you absolutely need to print these at the correct size and look at them carefully. Most people recommend sans serif fonts for small print to increase legibility.

Great idea, good luck.

Leonard

PS Don't worry about the non standard colors. The purple chips will be cool.

Yep. I have a sample Purple/Dayglo Green chip, and I like the combo. All your color choices are great. (Well, except for Red/Arc Yellow, but that's just a personal thing that I don't care for that combo so much)

Stay on top of Natalie's work!

I will ask her to send me a picture of the inlays at 100% with the old english font. If we find it is too hard to read, we may go with the same font that is on the other side with "Incarnations of Immortality" .. the papyrus font.

The graphics are unique and provide a consistent theme - good.
The layout (depending on the font issues) is clean - good.

Honestly, though, I'm not thrilled with the art. They look .... cartoonish. Perhaps this is still being worked on.

The white gradient background looks bland. It may look good on an inlay but right now it looks bland.

This theme is a good one. I don't want to be negative - I think this has good potential.

Too many colors, too much white space, illegible fonts. Images are crudely drawn. Design has nothing to do with poker or casinos.
Am I helping?
