Re: Anyone use REAL casino chips for their home game?

I have no concern about people bringing chips in or taking them out, as they're worth $1 either way.

I guess my only concern is always having to keep an eye on the chips. We usually have 30 guys in a tournament, and then start playing cash games afterwards. The chips for the side game (just cheap 6 stripe 8g chips now) are just sitting out, and when there are enough players, they get it going. I guess I'd be VERY uncomfortable leaving out $1k worth of real chips that someone could just snag and drive 20 minutes and cash 'em in at Canterbury. We're all friends, so I guess I don't see that as a real issue, but there are some that wouldn't have a problem kyping 20 bucks worth or some such. What I'm saying, is that I'd most likely have to keep an eye on them at all times and be bank at all times. Is this worth it?

Anyone else try this with any success or failure?
Are you using them for cash games or tourneys? If you're using them for cash games, you don't really need to worry. Assuming they're paying up front when they're buying in, if they take off with your chips, you still have their cash.
