2+2 has some good info, but the forum software they use is terrible to say the least.

But most forums nowadays are phpbb based, like this one and like TH-P.com's. Makes it easy to move from forum to fourm without a learning curve.

it's just very annoying to have to have all the replies to a thread as links instead of just being able to view an entire thread like you can here and most other places.

It's the "Threaded" vs "Flat" button somewhere at top right. Also it's an option in your profile.
