2+2 has some good info, but the forum software they use is terrible to say the least.

The software is ok, probably for the same reason, I got used to it.

But most forums nowadays are phpbb based, like this one and like TH-P.com's. Makes it easy to move from forum to fourm without a learning curve.

it's just very annoying to have to have all the replies to a thread as links instead of just being able to view an entire thread like you can here and most other places.

Actually, there's a toggle for that, which I turned on ages ago. It's the "Threaded" vs "Flat" button somewhere at top right. Also it's an option in your profile.
