Hey Ten. Nice job on the forum over here. I'm looking forward to hanging out. I was teetering for a while on the fence on this new Egyptian set but I've decided that my previous chip purchase is still too recent for my, ahem, Secretary to approve a new one so soon.

Now, on to my topic of a more serious nature. I hope this isn't something that has already been covered. I just finished registering my account obviously, and I noticed a problem. The registration process was "free" in the sense that no confirmation or approval was required.

I administer another forum of a completely unrelated video-game nature. We have had problems with people registering an account for the sole purpose of spamming the forum with advertisements. We had to enable some form of moderated registration.

Especially since your forum is something chip vendors will be interested in, you might find this to be a problem in the future. I hope not.

I'm glad to see you on the board! You're missing your unique avatar though, can you fix that?

I agree about the reg approval. I've tried to enable it, but something's not working. Maybe some problem with outgoing mail, since email topic reminders are also not working.

Honestly, I'm surprised it's going so well, it was surprisingly easy to set up.

What works for you? The topic emails, or the reg approval?

I wish I could say my avatar on 2+2 is unique. I've seen it being used by other folks. They didn't respect my request for them to use a different one. In fact, there was some talk of jumping in lakes or travelling to Hades or something.
