My chips

Chips on the far right

I purchased some "ThePokerChipCompany" chips back in 93. I purchased 1200, 500 white, 300 red, 200 Blue, 100 Black, and 100 Orange.

I purchased them before tournies were popular so they fit better for cash games. They are REAL casino chips, some NA casinos still use them but they have been phased out in most places. They are composite chips with a clay interior. Much MUCH stronger than chipcos or Paulsons however they are a tad slippery in comparison. They can stack to the roof on a steady surface but it does not take much wiggle for them to tumble... un lime clay chips.

I paid near a few K for them back in the day, they cost about .70 per chip now and ONLY accesable via lic. casino.

The nice thing about them is that they are protected. For cash games with strangers there is nothing better. 1) they can not be reprodoced, my logo is my logo. 2) The composite chip is damn near indestructible and I can soak them in water to clean. They look the same today as the day I bought them in 93.

I will post a full set picutres as soon as I can. I get a ton of compliments but today's chips, with the nice inserts, are starting to surface more as common place to the foil stamps I had done on them back then.

They are RTP chips. They are also located in Vegas. They can get those composite chips cranked out pretty fast if needed be.

I like your langworthy chips, but it's hard to see the label/logo on the black. Do you have more photos, of the other colors too?

RTP is RT Plastics, they made the Montecito's. Langworthy is the old name of Gamblers General Store, or maybe the "mother company" name. They manufatured the black chips, which I'd like to see more of.

I think RTP took over Langworthy since RTP is the manufacturer for GGS. It's even listed on RTP's website.

Pics here

Before I start, a pic of some nice CLUB chips:

A rainy day bordem buster:

The chip centerfolds:

I bought one of these swivals per table in our tourneys. I use to think they were cheesy, but after having to constantly get stressed out because ppl come in and shuffle all the pre-stacked chips up while we wait to start large games, these things have been a life saver. I keep them loaded and in back and when the game starts I bring them out and set one per table. ! swivel will easily hold 10 ppl's worth of chips. NICE.

Close up, not the best pic. When i bought these I wanted something generic. Back in 93, getting an insert was still a dream. These were registered chips for large cash games in a private club in Dallas. The Paris font saying, "Poker" combined with the chips reverse side denom was "protected chips" Meaning nobody else could get the same set up from this company. Trying to keep out chip cheaters.

My babies in transit

I always you the count tray to count them at end of night. I HATE loosing one chip!

On the table.

We have a lot of smokers and drinkers in our club so we chose speed cloth for it's resilent properties. We can spill an entire beer on it, wipe with paper towl and keep playing with no damage to the chips, table, or cards. You can also put a smoke out on it with no burn. The trade off is that it is not as plush as cloth.
