So I cancelled my pc.com order....

I just cancelled my pokerchips.com order because it has been over 3 weeks since I submitted my art request and I haven't heard a single thing back. Repeated attempts to get them to move have not worked...and I do not feel like waiting 14-18 weeks for my chips. So I cancelled the order.

With that, I put in the "Commit to pay" thing for 750 of Ten's Paulson Customs.

I do not think this will be a mistake.

I have up to 8 person games, usually ring (gasp!). We like to throw a lot of chips around and play with small denoms because of that. We buy in with $10 and play 10/20 cent no limit. I use 100 .05 cent chips because we like to toss em around. Then 12 .25 cent and 4 .50 cent chips.

What do you think would be the best breakdown for a 750 piece set? Id like all chips incorporated except the 1k chip. I understand that if 8 people sit down that I will need to dig into another of my chip sets to make the 800 chips needed just for the .05..it is a very very VERY easy going game, so we can change denoms and such without problems.

Thanks!

First of all, I'd use the 1% rule and use the $5 as a 5¢, and extrapolate up from there. You get me? This is what I plan to do, since I decided to 86 the 25¢ for the "greater good."

As for the amounts, I'll hand that off to someone else. I don't play enough cash games to advise.

Second: Welcome to the board!

So that was your plan all along wasnt it? Slick you are. So when you play a cash game would you use $25 chips as .25 and $100 chips as $1? $500 as $5?

Or would you still use the $1 and $5 chip?

i had no plan all along. if i did, why would i ever allow any discussion at all?

i'll buy some $1 and $5 to have a whole set, but it'll most likely be made up of mostly of $25-$500 now. those will be my 25¢-$5 chips.

i thought that might be considered wrong... but i guess i'm not the only one. It saves me like $500 too... I can just get the 25,100,500, ncv, now.
