Racetracks

Last night while watching a WPT re-run, I had an idea for a racetrack table. Similar to the WPT tables, make the racetrack out of a single piece of translucent white plexiglass, and light it from underneath with some type of tubular light (perhaps custom neon) or use a bunch of tiny halogen bulbs.

Has anyone ever seen a table like that? With all the odds and ends people are adding now (light ropes, back lit dice, etc.), I wouldn't be surprised.

I've not seen it, but I'm sure wouldn't be too hard. I think you could do it, post pics if you do!!

when i find it, i'll post it...a guy made a similar table using a whole wack of that rope lighting under plexi. didn't look all that good unlit, but lit up, wasn't too bad

When you say "race track" do you mean somthing like a slot car track? Now that I gotta see.

its referring to the wooden oval outside of the felt playing surface on higher end tables.
