buying 0.25 or $1000 chips?

Sorry to add to the flurry of polls, but:

I thought it would be helpful to figure out who out there is planning on buying 25c and $1000 Pharaoh's Club chips to help figure out the blue NCV vs orange NCV question. As always, Ten has the final say in any decision made regarding the group buy.

So, the question is, for those who have filled out the "promise-to-pay form" or are seriously considering purchasing the Pharaoh's Club chips, are you planning on buying 25c chips, $1000 chips, both or neither?

I have tournaments with 10000 starting chips the $1000 is a must have for me. I will not be getting the .25 chip. I will get some if the blue is NCV.

Huh. I play T4500 and T10000 tourneys as well, but I would rather the Orange be NCV so I can use it as $2500.

I don't play cash games really, but I think it'd be nice to have the Orange blank for that to use as $.05.

That said, I'm not sure how to vote in this poll.

ORange NCV would be best.

Yoiu can run your tournanment with orange chip whatever you want. it could be 1000 or it could be 2500 (which i like best). Like others have stated... theres no need for $10 chips any more then there is a need for $1000 chips. 2x of the denomination previous to it is fine. I think it's good to have chips that are 4-5 times more then the chips below them. But if you want to play with the orange as 1000 then fine, you can. If you want to play with it as 2500 or 5000 you can do that too. Put the Ankh on the orange chip and be done with it. I'm most likely going to order only a small number (10) of the orange chips if any unless it is made NCV. Which in that case i'll order at least 100 of those.

That way you could run for example a $20 side game for the losers $.25/.50 no limit or whatever with the small denominations .25, 1, 5. while still holding your tournament with the other chips.

i will be ordering at the very least 150 in blue if ncv.

i hate playing with chips that are not the right color. i know i know, the blue white $1 thing, but when was the last time you played with a red $25 chip. besides a home game in the ghetto. i mean, if they are the wrong color, we might as well just cut out some card board to play with.

i was going to put together a set of crystal park chips but $5 yellows suck.

i would be buying the $1000 chips, i would rather use quarters instead of paying $1 for 25c poker chips.

Sorry guys, I believe Ten said that the art is in Paulson's hands so all discussion about which is what is moot now. It's just proofing at this point.
