Simple Preference - Clay or Ceramic?

There are many chip types, but the best chips are usually made either of clay or ceramic. Most cost $1 per chip, +/-.

My choice is clay but ceramics do look nice. I just don't like the feel or sound of ceramic chips.

Where is the "I love both" choice.

I love my Chipco "Suits", and I'm sure I will love my Paulson Egyptians (even if they do all have denoms)

I pretty much agree with X-files. The designs on the ceramics look great, but it doesn't get better than the sound and feel of clay for my money.

I have to agree with Lumpy, there's room for both in my setup.

OK - I just can't choose between the two!

Will do. Actually was waiting to update my pics with my traveling setup... I'll just update my post when I get a chance to take some pics.

Also, have some vintage KEMS I just got... I'll try and post pics soon... 1954 (I think) & mint... box even has the original inspection stickers plus the care card and some post card... the backs are roses (red & yellow).

I'll probably e-bay 'em as my first seller's item... not sure what they're worth... just not crazy about the backs, prefer the wide size & I've got plenty of copags... otherwise I'd keep 'em.

i think that ceramic chips can be very elegant, too (just see tens chipco egyptians), but i still love the feel and sound of a quality clay chip

Too bad I can't vote for composite. I prefer BJ/B&G composites over clay/ceramics any day.
