Poker leetches?

Anyone else the only person in your regular game who owns ALL of the gear? On the one hand, I always get the call to join the game, but I have to supply the chips & cards. I don't mind that much, but occasionally I wish that someone else would at least spring for a deck of cards. They have ruined enough of mine. It is a good thing I win a fair percentage of our games. I have spent $1,000+ on poker chips, cards, table, etc.

Guilty!

Yep, me too.

I did sell a chip set to a friend so now he at least has some chips. I'm the only one with a real table, though. Maybe I'll start mass producing them so our rotating home game will always be in style.

Same here also. I have a table, chips, cards, and we have it at my house. It doesn't bother me though because it is all my stuff and will always be, and I have only had 1 deck of cards be ruined in about a year of hosting a weekly 4 hour game.

I was the only one with everything, but everyone was jealous of my table so they all built them. I bring my chipco's to 3 out of the 4 locations we play at. the last guy bought my old 11.5g "Real Clay" chips , so we just use those at his house. I enjoy playing with nice chips and cards so I don't mind lugging them around.

New Guy here!!

I also am the only one who owns anything. I enjoy having everybody over to my house. Recently I purchased a large peice of velveteen and stenciled our logo on it "GPT" (for Garage Poker Tour ) and that way it can travel....alot easier than am entire table!!

I'm the only one that owns good quality stuff, but that's slowly spreading. I guess I'm being a bad influence.

I'm still using 11.5 suits chips, but at least they're the semi "clay" version. Four or five other people have 11.5 plastic chips. I'm the only one with a nice table, and they only one with Kems.

I was the first one to find and use Poker Countdown then TournamentDirector. I was also the first one to find and use a Foxwoods style blind schedule, and incorporate good starting chip counts and blind lengths. That spread quickly to the other games I attend. Several people have mentioned playing at less organized games and not enjoying themselves at all anymore.

One friend of mine just got a decent table off ebay for his small condo. We'll see the affect, if any, my pokerchips.com order and the Paulson Egyptians have on them. Probably not that much, once they learn the cost.

But I enjoy hosting, and I don't mind at all getting all this high quality stuff, as I really appreciate it, and like using it so often. I guess it doesn't hurt that my winnings over the past year has covered all of these costs (though not mainly from my home games, we don't play for big stakes).

I've incorporated a 3 round Tournament of Champions for the end of each year, and this year I'm going to start also hosting regular Limit games and in June or July have a World Series style of 3 or 4 largish tournaments.

So yeah, I own all the good equipment, but don't mind one bit.

LOL. A sign of the height of the poker craze I suppose.
